September 2017 Intake Set to Grow Institute’s Student Population

The Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation population stands at 211 since its inception in the year 2011.

In its training of graduate students, the Institute frequently referred to as ICCA-Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation- focuses on the learning principles of trans-disciplinary incorporated in Climate Change.

As key thematic areas, ICCA focuses on:

There are only two programmes offered at the Institute, these are: Masters in Climate Change and Adaptation and Doctor of Philosophy in Climate Change and Adaptation.

ICCA believes in its competence in building human capacity to address the unique climate change and adaptation needs of vulnerable communities through teaching, action-oriented research and development of innovative technologies.

Every year the Institute receives new students during the September 2017 intake. This year is no exception. Incoming students are expected to join the Institute on September 4, 2017.

The orientation day will commence the start of an orientation week which aims to accustom students with the University procedures and introduce them to senior management of the University as well as the Institute. In addition, orientation will assist in familiarizing the students with facilities available in the University. All in all, orientation purposes to give students an opportunity to adjust to the new environment and to settle down so as to begin their academic journey.
