Rural Agency For Community Development and Assistance (RACIDA) is currently hosting researchers from University of Huddersfield located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England who are in the Country to collect information on  the role of collective in understanding adaption to climate change among the pastoralist communities in Mandera and Wajir, Counties often faced with extreme cases drought.

The Project Advancing Capacity to Address global Challenges through Investment corridors in Africa (ACACIA) is an ambitious new four-year project funded by the RCUK Global Challenges Research Fund programme on Capacity Development. Development corridors have tremendous potential to support economic growth in Africa, yet face significant challenges including positive and negative development impacts, traversing so-called “under-utilised” lands, vulnerability to climate change, and lack of appropriate research capacity in the region.

"Chevron accepts the scientific consensus regarding climate change," Theodore J. Boutrous Jr., an attorney for the California-based oil giant, said last month at the Federal District Courthouse in San Francisco. Then he dodged blame, telling the court that it's not energy companies like Chevron driving global warming, but "how people are leading their lives."
