#ClimateTalks Student Forum Earth Day, April 22nd 2022 AEST

The International Universities Climate Alliance is inviting student representatives from across our 56 universities globally to join a global virtual #ClimateTalks Student Forum during Earth Day on April 22nd 2022. Earth Day has been celebrated globally for more than 50 years and is an event dedicated to promoting awareness of the health of our environment.

The #ClimateTalks Student Forum will be held as a series of student led discussions, presentations and workshops with climate researchers, innovators, and educators to explore students’ contributions to climate action around the world and their shared vision for the future. All are welcome to watch our virtual talks and presentations. Please register here

As part of the #ClimateTalks Student Forum, we are welcoming up to three (3) student representatives from each Climate Alliance Member University to participate in virtual workshops aimed at gaining an insight into student perspectives across universities globally and facilitating global networking opportunities for students interested in climate research and advocacy. The workshops will extend on the 5 themes outlined in the Mock COP Declaration developed in December 2020 by an international delegation of youth representatives and consider the role of universities in supporting students advocating for climate action. The workshop outcomes will be a series of Student Statements that will be consolidated and presented to the Climate Alliance university leadership ahead of the World Academic Summit in New York during October 2022

You have been nominated by your university to join our Student Forum workshops. If you would like to
participate please submit the registration form below no later than the 1st April 2022.
