The college of Biological and Physical sciences was crowned the overall winner in the 2021 Annual Sports Day. The first runners-up were the College of Health Sciences and College of Humanities and Social Sciences took position three. This event was held on Friday 18th June. the theme for this year's event was 'Keeping safe and Healthy through sports'
Staff and students participated in the different sports set for the day, including tag of war, aerobics, soccer, volleyball, netball, hockey, athletics, goalball, chess, scrabble, and table tennis.

since the onset of the covid-19 pandemic, to safeguard the health of athletes and others involved, most major sporting events at international, regional, and national levels have been canceled or postponed and only recently started opening up under strict guidelines.
while awarding the winners, the Vice-Chancellor urged the university community to invest more in extracurricular activities. he also thanked all the sponsors of the event: Tecno mobile, Primewood, Flame Tree, KUSU- UoN Chapter, FOMO TV, Special Olympics Kenya, and Kubamba Radio Union Alumni Association, and Telkom.
